Our Story

We started roasting specialty in 2006 in small batches as a way to have fresh roasted coffee for ourselves. After a meeting with Pastor Rob Caminity, he spoke of how much different fresh roasted coffee tasted.

He was right and the obsession grew as friends also enjoyed our quickly expanding hobby.

In 2011, Bason Coffee Roasting was formed after we realized that a commercial roaster was needed to keep up with the demand.  Our third bay garage was quickly turned into our roastery, production, and warehousing area.

The end of 2012 was so busy for us that we had to buy a weigh and fill machine which was a tremendous help in filling bags from 2 to 16 ounces faster and with more accuracy.

One of the keys to our success is working with very reputable importers that source coffee from all around the world.  Because of our network of importers, we can offer coffees that are Fair Trade, organically grown, shade grown and bird friendly.  This enables you to know that you are receiving quality coffee responsibly sourced.

With the help of family and wonderful friends, Bason Coffee Roasting has four main channels (retail, wholesale, private labeling, and fundraising).

453 Mill Street Retail Location - Along with our large selection of coffees (regular, flavored and decaf), our main retail facility has many locally made specialty items such as: cookies, handmade coffee mugs, small batch candies and java candy bars from Candy Carousel Confections,  Hickory Syrup, J&M Wine Jelly, Rohrbach's Apple Butter, Ballengee Farm Coffee Soap, hand carved pens from Timber Creek Turnings, and Liam's Luck hand turned wood crafts.

Other Retail Locations - In addition to offering coffee to the coffee enthusiast through our brick-and-mortar store (Mill Street, Danville) we also sell our products on our online store, at Happy Mug Drive Thru (1140 Mill St, Danville) and at the Lewisburg Farmers Market (held on Wednesdays).

Wholesale - We wholesale primarily to coffee shops, restaurants and churches in locations throughout the eastern seaboard.  Anything from convenient pre-measured 2oz frac packs to 5lb bulk bags of ground or whole bean coffee are available. Your coffee is roasted, then shipped. It's as fresh as you can get.  Click here for more detailed wholesale information.

Private Label - If you are looking for something different to offer as a calling card, corporate gift, thank you gift, wedding favor, or for resale, we have the answer for you.  We offer ground or whole bean specialty coffee in packages from 2oz to 16oz with a custom designed label. Our graphic artist can help you create the look and the message you want to convey. This is a creative way to communicate a special message that will smell and taste wonderful.
